Physical Science
Available 2026-2027
This class will introduce students to the fundamental principles that govern the non-living world. Through the study of physical science, students will explore topics such as motion and forces, energy, waves, electricity and magnetism, and the structure and properties of matter. Students will investigate how these concepts explain everyday things, from why objects move the way they do, to how energy is transferred, to how materials interact and change. The course will also touch on broader systems that help students see connections between physical science and the world around them. Learning will be reinforced through hands-on experiments, group projects, and problem-solving activities that encourage critical thinking and collaboration. Students will also explore the contributions of key scientists and examine modern applications of physical science in technology and innovation.
