6-8 year old Elementary-age Class:
Chem-tastic Adventurers

This will be a small class of 1st and 2nd graders who want to develop a love of science through chemistry. We'll be learning about the structure of an atom and how atoms form molecules. We'll use foods to explain concepts, and be doing some baking and cooking as we explore how atoms and molecules create our food, and how our body uses chemistry to digest and use our food to fuel our body. We'll also be looking at the chemistry of different materials around us to explore how things are made. This class is meant to be fun and engaging, yet will give these kids a boost in chemistry knowledge for future classes, and help foster and encourage a love of science.
